Messy Play and Rhyme Time

Using the senses through messy play is a good way for young children to learn about themselves and develop an understanding of the world around them.

This half-term the theme of the sessions will be Nursery Rhymes ! In each session their will be nursery rhyme themed sensory and messy play activities. You and your child might get muddy when 'Incy, Wincy Spider' plays with his mini-beast friends, wet when we sing 'I Hear Thunder' and covered in sand when we sing the pirate song 'When I was One'.

There will be Rhyme Time part way through the session, where the group will come together and spend time singing nursery rhymes. To engage and excite your baby or toddler, the rhymes will be multi-sensory and include actions, movement, musical instruments and props. Information about how you can sing, play, move and learn through rhymes will be shared at each session.

The whole room will be set up with lots of age appropriate toys and messy activities for your baby or young child to play with and explore. These activities support language development, motor skills, social skills and scientific curiosity and many more!

It might get a bit messy… but why not come along and join in the fun!

Refreshments are available for adults and children during the session and, most importantly, time to chat, play and develop new friendships.
