Sensory/Messy Play

Sensory play is a good way for young children to learn about themselves and develop an understanding of the world around them. During the sessions the children will use their senses to explore and learn.

This half-term the theme of the sessions will be Nursery Rhymes ! In each session their will be nursery rhyme themed sensory and messy play activities. You and you child might get muddy when Incy, Wincy Spider plays with his mini-beast friends, wet when we sing I Hear Thunder and covered in sand when we sing the pirate song When I was One...

There will be time spent together singing each focus rhyme as a group. To make the rhymes multi-sensory, actions, musical instruments and props will be included to engage your baby or toddler. Information about how you can sing, play, move and learn through rhymes will be supplied at each session.

The whole room will be set up with lots of age appropriate toys and messy activities for your baby or young child to play with and explore. These activities support language development, motor skills, social skills and scientific curiosity and many more!

It might get a bit messy… but why not come along and join in the fun!

Refreshments are available for adults and children during the session and, most importantly, time to chat, play and develop new friendships.
