SINGING MAMAS

The Singing Mamas women's song circle meets every term-time Tuesday morning in Fishponds, in an airy spacious well-lit room at the Vassall Centre. Singing our enjoyable, easy to learn songs helps women feel more connected to each other (and their baby or child, if they have one). Our very gentle warm-ups and singing improves breathing, posture and muscle tension, leading to a sense of greater physical and emotional wellbeing. Learning new songs together is fun and stimulates the brain! When we team up to sing with those around us, we give and receive from others and feel a sense of community. Paying attention to the present moment while singing has been proven to reduce stress hormone levels.

Singing Mamas sessions are restorative singing sessions for mums and women of all ages and stages - antenatal, postnatal, mums of under fives, school age kids, teens, grown up children, grandchildren or no children at all.
No singing experience needed - it really is just about singing for relaxation and fun and there's time for a cuppa and a chat too. All babies and children welcome.
