STARDUST DANCE ACADEMY

Fairytale Ballet® Little Stars is our story-led toddler class for ages 18 months–3 years. Each session turns a tiny tale into music-and-movement play, so first ballet steps appear naturally through imagination, props and songs. It’s a calm, friendly start to dance that builds confidence one little step at a time.

Two ways to join

With a Grown-up (parent & toddler): You stay in the room to model, encourage and share the fun. Perfect for first classes or the younger end of the age band. We use short activities, cuddle breaks and simple choices so children feel safe.

Independent (grown-ups nearby): A gentle goodbye at the door, a consistent routine and friendly teachers help little dancers try independence. Ideal for children ready to explore on their own; you’re close by if needed.

What happens in class

• Welcome song and circle warm-up.
• Story adventure that teaches simple ballet ideas (tip-toe walks, butterfly arms, sways and stretches).
• Rhythm play with scarves, ribbons, shakers or soft props.
• Tiny creative choices (“How does a fairy move?”) to spark expression.
• Calm finish and cheerful “we did it” moment.

What grows here

• Body skills: balance, jumping and landing, core control, coordination, safe stretching.
• Musicality: finding the beat, fast/slow, starting/stopping.
• Social & emotional: turn-taking, listening, confidence, imagination and gentle independence.

Who it’s for

Every child. We believe all abilities belong, explore and shine. Tell us what helps your dancer feel comfortable—we’ll meet them where they are and celebrate each small step.

Practical bits (18m–3yrs)

Comfy clothes that move; hair tied off the face; no jewellery. Bare feet or soft ballet shoes both work to start. Bring a labelled water bottle. Comforters are welcome. Let us know any additional needs in advance; we’re happy to prepare.
