THE SPACE SOMERSET

This is a great introduction to the sport of archery. It's a fun way to try something new with your friends and other young people. We will cover the basics of using a bow to shoot arrows at bullseye targets. Your fully qualified instructor will coach you and use fun games and challenges to get the most out of your session.
All our archery sessions take place on our brand new permanent covered target sport ranges at our main activity centre site.

We go ahead with our activities whatever the weather so please wear light layers and bring a waterproof.
Please make sure you have a long sleeve top/jumper for archery.
Our activity centre is in the countryside and our target sport ranges can get muddy underfoot, especially if it has been wet. Please wear sturdy, closed toe shoes that you don't mind getting muddy (trainers, walking boots, wellies are all great).

The SPACE is a small local charity working in the Cheddar Valley area to encourage and support good mental health in young people aged 4-17 years of age. Our activity programmes are designed to encourage an increase in wellbeing such as self-esteem and confidence as well as inspiring individual development and to have lots of fun!
Conduct: In order for all young people to have an enjoyable time there have to be certain ground rules that must be followed at all times. These include participants refraining from any behaviour that places a young person, member of staff, volunteer or member of the public at risk (for example bullying, vandalism, consumption of alcohol or illegal substances). The activity providers or staff at The SPACE will immediately stop someone from participating if they feel at any time, they are not following safety rules.
