TICK TOCK MUSIC

Each Tick Tock Session performance provides a rich mix of music, movement, drama and comedy, designed to entertain and stimulate your child. From nursery rhymes to pop music, the songs and rhymes we dramatise are linked by a narrative thread.

Children can settle down with their carer and enjoy weekly performances by our professional cast.

In a typical Tick Tock show, the children and their carer can take a seat in a distanced spot and enjoy the fun filled sessions. Using a wide variety of instruments, we perform a selection of songs and rhymes with a different programme each week.

Children are invited to join in, whether it’s clapping, singing or playing a full starring role! Tick Tock prides itself on the relationships we build with our young members week by week. It is important that we know every child’s name, making them feel special as an individual and as part of the group.

Think of us as musical theatre class for under 5's. We start by greeting each child individually in “The Tick Tock Song”. We then welcome new friends and say hello to everyone with “How Do You Do?” When we feel settled we start the session. To ukulele and percussion accompaniment we sing a selection of nursery rhymes and songs old and new, with a different programme each week. We encourage the children to participate with appropriate actions.
There are a variety of visual aids, numbers, colours etc. We then stand up and sing songs that require some movement. Then each child is given a percussion instrument to play in time to the music, with the help of its carer. Each session lasts about 45 minutes to an hour.
We hope to develop your child’s imagination, encourage number and letter recognition, pre-reading skills, as well as having lots of fun. We would like mums, dads, nannies and grannies to sing along and encourage their children to join in.
