Tiny Hands Big Adventures Messy Play offers relaxed, child-led messy play sessions for babies and young children, where exploration comes first and there is no pressure to join in a certain way.

Each session is carefully planned with multiple play stations designed to support early development through hands-on, sensory play. Pouring, squashing, scooping, squeezing, posting, mixing and exploring different textures all help children build important early skills in a way that feels natural and unforced.

Messy play supports physical development, including fine motor skills and hand strength, early problem solving, curiosity and concentration. It also supports sensory processing. That simply means helping children make sense of what they see, touch, smell and experience, which plays a big role in regulation and confidence.

There is no expectation for children to try everything. Watching, dipping a finger, returning later or staying close to a parent all count. We follow your child’s lead and trust their pace.

Sessions include:

• Developmentally appropriate activities planned with early years understanding in mind

• A dedicated over 3s activity table

• A calm, welcoming environment

• Healthy snack time and refreshments

• A warm, non-judgemental space for parents and carers

We are an allergy-aware setting and take care with ingredients and materials used. Booking is essential to ensure numbers are managed safely and everyone feels comfortable and included.
