Our story:

When I made one of my other choirs a multi generational (or baby friendly 😉)one, I saw how valuable it was both to the parents, the babies and to the other members of the community who came from all walks of life. It created such a caring, sharing atmosphere.

Music can also help babies develop their social and emotional skills. By singing and dancing together, babies and caregivers can bond and connect. This can help babies feel more secure and confident, which is crucial for their overall development.

In addition, music can help babies develop their cognitive skills. Studies have shown that listening to music can improve memory, attention, and spatial reasoning. This can help babies develop their problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

And for you?
Singing can be a great way to connect with others and build social bonds. It can help you feel more connected and supported - for new and existing parents this can be crucial.

Vocalise Sidcup has been a happy, welcoming community for nearly 5 years, and I thought it would be wonderful to include parents and babies too. Now they can get all the wonderful mental health benefits that have become such a boost to our current membership!

Once booked, resources are available: lyrics and recorded tracks. Songs range from pop to world music and no experience is needed. Just come along if you love to sing!
