WAVES MASSAGE

Massage allows you and your baby to bond through positive touch, connecting the two of you, allowing you to get to know and understand your baby. It gives you the opportunity to demonstrate your love for your child, giving them a sense of security. Your baby learns how to enjoy being touched and understand that you want to communicate with them.

Many studies have shown that regular massage can help a baby fall asleep faster and easier, aid their digestion, improve their skin condition, help develop and grow their muscles, and improve strength and flexibility of joints.

Over 4 weeks we'll build up a nurturing full body baby massage routine you'll feel confident performing on your child, along with an additional colic routine to help with trapped wind and pain relief. You'll learn the best time to massage your baby, about permission signals and cues.

The class is a small, friendly and welcoming space. Each session starts with a parent relaxation exercise and a conversation about different aspects about parenthood. It is suitable from birth to active crawling.

Courses take place at Waves Massage Studio in Deptford.
