WEST BRIDGFORD BAPTIST CHURCH

Messy Church at WBBC has been running since October 2009 and is light and accessible service for all ages but particularly suitable for families. The activities are aimed at primary aged children but are accessible with a little help by younger children and still fun for those a who are older.

Come to Messy Church and experience worship in a safe space where there is a place for everyone to relax, and have fun TOGETHER with the help of Bible stories, crafts, music and more. (We usually finish with food but this is restricted at the moment!)

Messy Church meets on the first Thursday of every month. During school term, doors open at 3:30pm and we are finished by 5:45pm. If the Thursday falls in the school holidays then we start at 10am.

Normally each session is broken up into three sections (this may vary due to current Covid restrictions)

Gathering Together – for the children some space for games and a time to relax after a day at school and for the Carers time to have a cuppa and chat.
Learning Together – all our activities help us remember our Bible story or thought for the day. We also may sing and have some prayer activities too.
Eating Together – we usually finish with a light tea but with Covid restrictions we won’t be able to provide our usual meal but some refreshments will be available.
Everything we do is accessible to all ages with help and encouragement from our helpers. There are also toys available for our younger children.

While there is no charge, we do ask for a small donation but only if you are able towards the cost of food.

Due to COVID regulations we are limiting numbers and booking is essential.
