SCHOOL OF NOISE
Listen & Play classes for babies and toddlers exploring sound and music
What School of Noise says
School of Noise – Listen & Play classes support babies and toddlers to develop their listening and musical skills as they begin their journey through the sonic world around them.
During these classes, babies, toddlers and their caregivers can listen to lots of different sounds, dance, move, and play music together. The classes include lots of percussion instruments to play on, visual projections, lights and bubbles!
“The School of Noise is one of those ideas that you just KNOW is right: bringing back a sense of wonder & accessibility to music-making. Music is organised noise and organising noise is fun!” — Jarvis Cocker
"We’ve been to a billion baby music classes but I’m struggling to think of another one I’ve enjoyed as much as Listen & Play. If you’re bored of generic rhyme-time sessions, uninspiring teachers and repetitive formats then this one is for you." — Emmy (bablands.com)
"Informative and fun!" — Parent of a 9 month old
Listen & Play is intended to be just as fun and interesting for grown-ups as well as their children. The music played won’t just be traditional children’s songs and nursery rhymes, we play music from a variety of different genres and artists including Brian Eno, Bjork, Kraftwerk, Four Tet, Miles Davis and Delia Derbyshire.
Each class focuses on a theme to which all the sounds and visuals will relate.
