What Sian Haestier Yoga says

Weekly pregnancy, postnatal with babies, and flow & restore yoga sessions in Walthamstow village at Trinity URC Church.

Pregnancy yoga is a beautiful way to connect with your breath and body on your journey through pregnancy. Prenatal yoga aims to keep you feeling comfortable, strong and present physically and emotionally as you grow and prepare to birth your baby. Connect with a new local community of expectant parents.

Postnatally, join our supportive and relaxed class where you can feed, change and care for your baby whilst taking time to focus on you. You'll be guided through breathing and yoga to support your physical and emotional recovery and transition into parenting a newborn. Babes can be included in your practice and we'll keep them entertained with a few choice baby-friendly songs.

My newest offering is Friday night Flow & Restore Yoga, for when you can leave baby at bedtime or are back at work and in need of a stretch in the evening. The perfect bookend to your week, come and move mindfully in a led slow flow yoga practice for 45 minutes, before being guided into stillness and deep relaxation in longer held restorative yoga poses for the last section of the class. Supported by props, your body is invited to soften and settle helping to leave you feeling reset and revitalised for the weekend ahead and a good night's sleep.

About

An east London based yoga teacher with British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance accreditation, I specialise in pregnancy yoga (12 weeks +), postnatal yoga (from 6 weeks postpartum), breath-led mindful movement (vinyasa flow), and active deep rest (restorative yoga).

I have been a teacher for 8 years and practised for around 15. I’ve studied with some wonderful teachers on my journey so far and am always learning. My intention is to create a nurturing and accessible environment for people of all experience and ability levels to explore, enjoy yoga and take what they need from it.

Yoga can help us live more calmly and openly so that we can navigate life’s challenges with more ease and grace. For me, it does this by helping me connect to my breath and the body I live in, creating a space - on my mat, or off it - to find my way back home within myself. It’s a space where we can ask open-ended questions and explore with a sense of freedom and safety. We co-create this space through practising together.
