Hi, I'm Victoria.
My Sing and Sign journey began when I was a child. During a family friend visit, I was astounded watching their pre-verbal 1-year-olds ability to communicate through signing. It was so profound to witness her inclusion, comprehension, as she signed and drew our attention to the things she saw and heard around us, intricate things like Planes, we no longer notice, or take for granted. I vowed from that experience to gift my children that same tool of voice through gestured expression when the time presented itself.
I attended Sing and Sign classes with my daughter for social purposes but more importantly to give my baby an early opportunity to communicate successfully with less frustration. I cant express the value in my child being able to tell me when she wants water, rather than milk, a snack, or when she needs her nappy changed. Thus reducing tantrums through misunderstanding as she could tell me exactly what she wanted and feel seen and heard. It has also made our interactions much more fun and has accelerated her eagerness to learn the signs then words of the things around her. I thoroughly enjoyed my Sing and Sign journey, and am keen to provide the same playful bonding experience for parents and children, giving them rewards that transcend the classroom. Professionally proven to give children the best start in life.
