THE HOLDING MOTHER

Supporting mothers and families through pregnancy, birth and postpartum

What The Holding Mother says

The Holding Mother is a space for mothers to feel informed, empowered and held throughout their motherhood journey. It offers antenatal support adapted to your specific needs preparing you for the birth you wish to have and also to the eventual situations that might arise. Additionally, it offers the most needed nurturing postnatal support after the baby is born. Having someone to hold your baby while you take a shower, or bring you a warm nourishing meal might just be the gift you need for a healthy start in your motherhood journey. You can also access special sessions that target some of the challenges of the perinatal period. - Plan your Perinatal Journey sessions will support you in planning your pregnancy, sketching your birth plan, or brainstorming your postpartum needs and plan them. - The Holding Mother session will help you to lighten up your mood by having someone just actively listening and helping you find further help if you need it. - The Magic Baby session will support you in understanding your baby´s special language, what the different cries mean, his body movements, his likes, and dislikes. By knowing this you will feel more prepared to respond to his needs. This can be particularly important if your baby seems to be more sensitive and cry or fuss in a way it is difficult for you to respond.
