THE LJS NURSERY SCHOOL

Little LJS is a Friday pre-school programme for young children to attend before starting nursery. In our playgroup, children experience activities similar to those they will encounter in nursery, but in a small, supportive, comfortable, environment. Children attend the group with the adult who spends time with them in the mornings (parent, grandparent, nanny). With the active participation of the accompanying adult, and under the guidance of our specialist early years teacher. The children join in with activities, sing songs, dance, and listen to stories. There is time to engage in free play and more structured activities led by the teacher, we then enjoy snack (from home) together. Through these experiences, children learn to participate in simple activities, guided by a teacher, and to interact with other children, forming bonds similar to those they will experience in nursery and throughout their childhood. Little LJS provides children with many important skills for their future development, it also strengthens the bond between the child and the accompanying adult. Above all Little LJS is a particularly enjoyable experience for both the children and the accompanying adults.
