About

Hello everyone my name is Louise. I am Mum to 3 wonderful children and I truly believe that being able to communicate with your baby from a very young age, by learning how to sign is such an invaluable skill and learning with TinyTalk is such good fun and enjoyable too.
Baby Signing to me means happy calm babies, which is basically what we all want for our children isn't it and of course, in turn that makes for calmer and happier parents. Understanding what your baby needs, easing their frustration by teaching them the signs to be able to tell you what they want, need or are interested in, way before they can actually tell you, is simply amazing and makes parenting feel just that little bit easier. TinyTalk Baby Signing is suitable from birth (as soon as Mum is happy to be out and about) and is an interactiue signing and sensory class with a different theme every week learning up to 150 (British Sign Language) signs. Starting with the essentials milk, food, sleep and more. Babies can sign from just a few months old, and if they start to sign later, it's all going in ready to pop out when they have the hand control, so get started early if you can! Then when your little one is ready, at around 24 months, TinyTalk Toddler Talking is the next step to continue to develop your child's communication skills whilst hauing brilliant fun together. I currently don't offer TinyTalk Toddler classes, but hope to in the future, watch this space.
Each 1 hour class consists of around half an hour of signing and singing along to well known nursery rhymes, action songs and sensory activities such as bubbles, flashing balls, scarfs and much more. Then half an hour to enjoy a HOT cuppa (a rare treat as a busy parent) ask questions, eat biscuits, with lots of toys to entertain your little one whilst you meet other families. This is the reason I love TinyTalk classes, it's one of the only classes I have been to that has a dedicated social time. I know from experience that meeting other parents is the most brilliant and unexpected joy to come from attending classes, I feel blessed to have made lifelong friends. The social time at Tiny Talk is a brilliant way of making new friendships, as well as creating a space to ask questions, gain support and spend time with other parents, in a friendly and relaxed environment.
