What Zip Zap says

Each individualised class provides an exciting mixture of music and drama which are linked by our weekly theme. Zip Zap combines traditional nursery rhymes with upbeat and lively pop songs, which will have children and carers alike bopping along to the funky beats. Our professional cast of two performers welcome each child to join in the journey whether it’s clapping and singing along, or playing a leading role in one of our sing-a-long songs. Zip Zap classes build confidence, contributes to cognitive development, expand the imagination, unleash creativity.

About

This class is taught by Alison (B.A. Music and Drama, PGCE) and Zoe (B.Mus., PGCE QTS), professional performers, experienced educators and mums.

Alison is a Leyton local and has been leading music/sensory classes for babies and teaching performing arts to children and adults for over 15 years as well as working as an actor and singer all over the world. Alongside teaching, Alison still performs regularly as a cast member of ‘A Beautiful Noise’ (West End and National Tour) job sharing the female role with other mums, as well as fronting function band ‘The Basie Millers’ all over London at weddings and parties.

Zoe has lived in the Stratford area for almost 20 years (and previously was Assistant Head/Head of Creative Arts at Brampton Primary in Newham.) She is probably the most eclectically skilled person you’ll ever meet! Zoe has studied ballet, lindy hop and trapeze, writes poetry and plays 6 instruments (and a few more badly!) and is also a bellringer! Zoe has danced for Margot Fonteyn, performed with the London Symphony Orchestra, English National Opera and His Majesty's Cornetts and Sackbutts, gigged as a stand up comedian and produced a charity single at the BBC. Zoe has also held a world record for kazoo playing (along with 2000 others!)
