What Core Dunbar: Pilates, yoga & massage therapy says

Mum and Babies Pilates- The mum and baby class is suitable for mums with their baby aged 6 weeks (or 12 weeks after a c-section) to 1 year. Bring a mat for you and a blanket for your baby to lie on and a couple of wee toys to play with. The focus is on safely strengthening pelvic and abdominal muscles and mobilising the back. Postnatal issues can be discussed and the class can help to work on rehabilitating weak pelvic floor to address incontinence/urgency and on helping rehabilitate diastasis recti (split abdominal muscles). The class is run to fit as much work in to the session as possible so you get the most benefit from your time in class each week. Baby can either sleep, lie on the mat and watch or can be incorporated into the movements. The class is flexible so you are able to feed, change and comfort your baby whenever you need to. You can come into the studio or join via Zoom if you prefer. The class has a maximum of 8 mums in the studio. Relax and Sing Baby Massage- Come and join this wonderful course; a powerful combination of baby massage, baby yoga, sensory stimulation, shiatsu, relaxation and singing. Every week we include a gentle relaxation exercise for the grown-ups, sing our way through some fabulous yoga stretches and massage strokes, discover useful acupressure points for baby ailments and soothe baby with a lullaby.
