MUSIC AT HEART

Music at Heart is an award-winning, music school in Leeds. Our vision is to nurture a child’s lifelong love of music, by providing quality musical experiences to babies, toddlers and children in the early years. Using the Kodály approach to music education, we create community through singing, movement and instrumental playing in our gentle and inclusive classes.

We offer a variety of classes to suit all needs: a mother and baby singing circle, family singing circles to meet friends and share tea/cakes, our signature singing and movement class for 0-4 year olds, musicianship for 3-5s, and after school musicianship for 4-7 year olds.

In our 0-4 musicianship classes, we teach timeless rhymes and songs, wherever possible sourced from local folklore, and design a curriculum involving singing games, eurhythmics movement and simple instrumental playing. We aim to help parents/carers develop a resource bank of quality songs to sing and play both in class and at home. As they grow, your children will learn to sing and play along to these songs on Music at Heart´s beautiful, natural percussion instruments.
