BLUEBELLS PARENT & CHILD GROUPS

Bluebells is designed to help support the connection in your formative relationship with your child. Heart held space offers Waldorf craft, songs, inspiring puppet shows with snack time, outdoor play and role-modelling of the adults role in child-led play. Holistic Baby Childcare practices stem from Steiner/Waldorf and are inspired by Emmi Pikler and the EYFS. Outdoor play is encouraged all year round. We will meet with our morning song to welcome everyone and have a craft or activity, then communal snack time with songs and nature walk/free play, then a seasonal puppet show, and our goodbye song. Crafts are parent led so you can create for your child, whilst they play alongside you. We will also spend time observing, to connect with and understand the child's development. Supporting material is provided. Festivals are celebrated throughout the year, e.g. singing round maypole tree. Sessions are held at The Rookery Gardens, where we have the use of a community room if the rain or winds are too heavy. Please can parents and children come prepared for outdoors. We recommend waterproof trousers and jackets, hats and woolly socks for welly boots. Or sunhats and sun protection. Bear in mind, the ground is damp in the spring and sometimes summer mornings too. You may like to bring a picnic rug for an extra layer/space.

Jo Pearce (BA Hons) has been a Parent and Child Group Leader since 2012, most recently with The London Acorn School. Informed by her Holistic Baby and Childcare qualification and therapeutic practice of Reflexology and Baby Massage, Jo enjoys attuning to parents' needs and role modelling connection.

TRIAL SESSIONS in August: Tuesday 19th 10 to 12pm and Thursday 21st 930 to 1130 am £17. These are intended to introduce existing members to the new location and new families can book as a pre-trial session prior to bookings for Autumn Term 1. Booking and enquiries to Jo Pearce. Booking is half-termly, approx 6-8 weeks max. School term time only. Block booking payment prior to attendance. Refunds are not possible but you may be able to hand on to another family. Please check.
