Where Little Explorers Play, Learn & Grow

Cece’s Little Explorers is a calm, creative, SEND-aware stay & play space for children under 5, thoughtfully designed with both little ones and parents in mind.

Created by an experienced nanny and early years educator with a degree in childhood studies, sessions offer a carefully curated environment where children are free to explore at their own pace while parents relax, connect, and enjoy being present without pressure or expectation.

What to Expect

Each session is themed and intentionally set up to encourage curiosity, confidence, and joyful discovery. Parents stay throughout, supporting their child as they move freely between activities and follow what interests them most.

Our playroom includes:

Curated play stations with games, books, and imaginative resources
Sensory play
Arts & crafts
Music and movement
A cosy book corner
Quiet spaces for calm moments and regulation

Every area is designed to feel welcoming, inclusive, and predictable, particularly supportive for children with additional needs.

Why This Play Matters

Play is not “just play” — it is how young children learn about the world, themselves, and others.

Drawing on current early years research, activities are chosen to nurture imagination and curiosity while gently supporting development, including:

Fine motor skills
Colour, shape and early letter recognition
Problem-solving and concentration
Emotional wellbeing, confidence, and emotional regulation

There is no pressure to perform or achieve. Children engage in ways that feel right for them, developing skills through enjoyment, repetition, and exploration.

Inclusive & SEND-Aware

With over 10 years’ experience working with children, including those with autism, ADHD, and additional needs, Cece’s Little Explorers is rooted in patience, understanding, and child-led play.

Sessions are:

Small (maximum 10 children)
SEND-aware and inclusive
Focused on safety, wellbeing, and confidence-building

Parents stay throughout the session. The venue is pram-friendly and accessible. Sessions are calm, small-group, and SEND-aware. Please arrive on time so children can settle comfortably. Messy play is encouraged, so wear clothes you don’t mind getting paint or glue on. Snacks and drinks for children are welcome.

If your child has any allergies, medical needs, or disabilities, please get in touch ahead of the session so we can make sure the environment and activities are suitable and inclusive. I’m always happy to chat and support where possible.
