What The Children's Wood says

We are a registered outdoor playgroup and meet up every Wednesday and Friday in The Children’s Wood on North Kelvin Meadow. Everyone is welcome – even if you don’t live in the area. We meet up during all weather conditions, unless the weather is unsafe. We usually build a shelter, have a small fire, and bring out some outdoor toys like ropes and tree cookies. There is a mud kitchen, stepping stone trail and a tipi for children to play on as well as sticks, puddles and mud which provides hours of fun and entertainment. We believe that children can get out in all weather – it just takes having the right kind of equipment. The playgroup is child led and we encourage your child to explore the land, play and roam around the wood.
